The Name : "HalenGroup"

So Harvey How did you come up with name HalenGroup?

-Well, oddly enough I get asked that question quite a bit, people think it might have come form some sort of Greek origin or that it had some kind of exotic meaning, the truth of the matter is, that it really is an abbreviation of my first name and my original partners first name Leonard, -Dr. Leonard Gedalia. The name hal-en-group group was really a combination of the first letters of our names Harvey and Len.

And when did you come up with this, when did the HalenGroup get started?

-HalenGroup, the name came in the late seventies when Leonard and I graduated from the same Ph.D. Program at American University, shortly after that, I decided to go into police psychology and Leonard went into kinds of clinical work, so we really didn't work together any more, but I asked him [if I could] keep the name for my private consulting business and he consented.
